About our Program

Raptors Athletics is one of 8 clubs which make up Arapahoe Youth League. For more than 45 years, the AYL has provided the premier competitive sports league in the Denver Metro Area. The Raptors serve Castle Rock, Castle Pines, Larkspur & Sedalia, feeding into Castle View, Douglas County and Rock Canyon High Schools. Our club offers tackle football for 1st through 8th grade.

In most cases, we offer multiple teams with varying levels of competition at each grade level. Generally speaking, registration for Fall football opens March 1. While some teams in the upper levels of competition may have tryouts (April-May), the vast majority of registration is first come first serve.

Most of our teams begin offseason work in May with 1-day/week workouts/teaching sessions and continue through August when the regular season kicks off late in August and runs through early November. When the season kicks off practice cadence increases to several days per week depending on the grade and coach.

Our teams typically play an 8-game season followed by playoffs and hopefully a trip to the championship game.

Our Teams practice in Castle Rock at Gemstone, the Fairgrounds, or Rhoylite Park.
